Called in for takeout order on a Fri night, ready in 10 mins. of lamb shish kebab $24 and pistachio baklava $7. Asked for no added salt. Comes with 2 sauces, didn't really care for either though. Generous portion of lamb and rice, also includes sides of hummus, pita bread, and salad. Lamb was flavorful, not salty, tender, quality meat. Sides were all good. The 2 pieces of baklava were small, but pretty good. Not too sweet and just the right texture. Medium sized restaurant, decent amount of tables inside, no outdoor seating. Overall, very reasonably priced quality meal with good portions. I recommend this place.

Incredible food! We got food to go and were blown away by how good & fresh all of the food was. Will definitely be new regulars. They also read the notes if you have any substitutions on their ordering platform- which is always so relieving!

This is a family owned Middle East in restaurant in the heart of Redwood City. Everyone you find inside all the family. This place has an amazing hospitality and people are super nice. They make sure you understand what you are trying to get and try their best to make it best experience for you the prices are super friendly, and if the weekend is gonna be a line, but if you go to the weekdays this place does have good seating availability. There is a problem with the parking spots, so make sure you park somewhere on the road and then come visit this place . Inside this restaurant, it's very friendly and regional ambience. You'll feel like you're sitting in a restaurant somewhere and Middle Eastern having food. On time within 10 to 12 minutes everything tasted amazing especially the kebabs and the shawarma was best that you should not miss . Duniya was amazing host Mimi

Nicely laid out restaurant with comfortable dining. The service was excellent (thank you Duna!). The rice a nicely cooked. The Kafta Arayes were a bit burnt, but the filling and bread were so good, especially with the sauces provided that the burnt parts didn't matter. The Sheikh El Mahasi was a nice subtle taste that was almost sweet. It was paired with well seasoned rice and a chile. I added some salt to my preference. The kafta kabob had the same yummy rice with a perfectly seasoned kabob. That kabob was one of the best I've had in the area. It also had a refreshing salad and cooked chile. I plan to go back for more food.

So good! We came here last minute for dinner and they happily sat us. The staff here is very friendly and kind and they brought our food out quickly. For mezzes we ordered the halloumi cheese and the falafel which were both excellent. The halloumi was soft and moist and the falafel was crispy and fresh. We ordered the combo plate to share which came with chicken, beef, lamb and salad, rice and hummus. We ended up having leftovers but overall really fresh and delicious food!

Through Yelp, my husband and I found Zadna and decided to meet our friends there for dinner. It was a first time for all of us. We ordered the following: Falafel with humus A fried cheese appetizer Different dinner plates (I ordered a chicken shawarma with rice and salad; others ordered chicken kabobs, beef kabobs, and the fish Branzino dish). I really liked my dish and was able to save some for a lite snack today. Everyone else finished their dishes and loved them. (We shared samples for each of us to try ,too). The service was nice. The ambiance was quaint and comfy. Our dinner reservation was at 6:15 pm and we were not rushed out. In fact we were there when they closed at 9 pm. I look forward to going there again and trying other dishes on their menu!

If I could give this Redwood City gem a 6 Star rating or better yet 7 Star I would. First of all the ambiance is wonderful and down to earth, yet elegant and very much a home type of feeling. The staff is wonderful and welcoming, as are the owners, who actually had a restaurant business in Burlingame prior to this years ago. My adopted niece as I call her treated me to a wonderful Sunday lunch, it was great great great. We started off with Hummus and also some garlic fries. The hummus was also with warm pita bread and then we also had a wonderful spicy chili sauce as well as a yogurt/ sour cream garlic dip, awesome!! The garlic fries were wonderful too. While we were waiting for our entrees to arrive we sipped on some wonderful Moroccan Mint tea. The aroma of the tea and the lingering smell of spices in the air transported you to the streets of Morocco or somewhere in the Middle East. Onward came our entrees, which we both decided for the combination plates. This wonderful middle eastern food and service will have you come in and ask for more..more..more. :-) I am hooked!! When we were all done, we ended our meal with more of the mint tea and then also had room for Baklava. Very different than the Greek Baklava. This baklava was non sticky and not way too sweet with the other Greek Baklava. This was much more smooth, not as sweet and topped with pistachio nuts. Was awesome. So if you are in Redwood City, pull off El Camino Real and right there on Broadway is this wonderful gem. Never forget the name.. Zadna Grill, where the Middle East meets Redwood City. Enjoy!!

Run, don't walk, to Zadna Grill. The place is something special. First, I'll name - I'd seen this place pop up on Yelp before and overlooked it, confusing the name with the similar sounding Zadna Bowl - a Chipotle-like pan-Mediterranean fast casual spot that's just okay. Zadna Grill, on the other hand, is a sit-down restaurant specializing specifically in Lebanese cuisine. Their menu has a broad variety of items that extend beyond "standard" mediterranean restaurant fare. I was in the mood for something light, flavorful, and satisfying, and boy did Zadna Grill deliver. I ordered: Lentil soup - tasty, could have used a pinch extra of salt, but a squeeze of the lemon that came with the bowl was the perfect addition Rokka salad, with an add-on of grilled prawns - these prawns were possibly the tastiest shrimp I've had anywhere, perfectly seasoned with flavorful spices and cooked until succulent (and not overdone) -the hot sauce and garlic sauce offered with the shrimp were also fantastic -the rokka salad was simple and flavorful, tossed with brightly flavored sumac, red onions, and lemon, exactly what I was feeling like The woman next to me was raving about pumpkin kibbeh, which I had also considered ordering. I'll have to try it next time! The current owners opened about 9 months ago. I never tried the old Zadna, so I can't compare...but the current Zadna Grill is a banger and I look forward to returning to try more items on their menu.
